Brightfilter will work with all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and does not require you to change any of your broadband or dial up account settings. If you are unable to connect after installing Brightfilter it is likely to be your Internet Service Providers Proxy server which will be affecting use of the Brightfilter application. If you are using Internet Explorer as your main browser, open IE and go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections/LAN Settings/Advanced and specify in Exceptions: http://www.brightfilter.com. Close and re-open the browser and you should now be able to use the Brightfilter software. Setting this will not affect any other services you receive from your Internet Service Provider.
Yes Brightfilter will work with the Google Toolbar installed. Any searches entered into the toolbar will be subject to the current users filtering profile.
