I get a 'Page not displayed' error when trying to access the Internet

The Brightfilter software is designed to interrogate all web traffic at the point at which the PC has successfully started up. It is possible that another application has attempted to start which has confused the Brightfilter startup process. Either close the browser window and open a new one or click the refresh button. The Brightfilter service should now be available.


I have a license and want to add a new machine

To add another machine to your license, just visit click the following link: https://www.brightfilter.com/myaccount/ login and add a computer via the Account Management / Renewal Services section.


I have a Virus Checker Installed - Will this cause any problems?

No. Brightfilter should not cause any problems with any installed virus checkers. Your currently installed AV scanner or Windows Vista/XP itself may alert you that brightfilter.exe and/or brighttray.exe are attempting to gain access to the local computer. These are the 2 core files of Brightfilter and have to be premitted to allow Brightfilter to operate.


I have changed my computer? Can I still use Brightfilter?

Yes, simply visit https://www.brightfilter.com/myaccount/ login and download a new trial. Enter your email address and password to link this new computer to your account. You can also disable/remove Brightfilter registered computers in the 'Your Computers' section of the control panel.
