When is my license going to expire?

To check the expiry date of Brightfilter, simply right-click the Brightfilter icon on your computer desktop and select "Change Brightfilter User". The 'Badges' page will display the number of days remaining on your license. To add computers or increse the licensed period click 'Renew Now'


Which version of Brightfilter do I have?

To find out which version of the software you have installed, right-click the Brightfilter icon (white seahorse on a red background) found in the bottom-right of the desktop and select 'About Brightfilter'. The latest released version of Brightfilter can be found via the download page: http://www.brightfilter.com/downloads/


Why do I get an error that says my PC is not registered?

This can sometimes occur when a Windows update has changed the UID (Machine Hash) of your computer. This UID should always remain the same however we have seen instances where the Windows Update process can change this value. To fix this problem simply uninstall the version of brightfilter on your computer, visit the download page (http://www.brightfilter.com/downloads/) and install the latest version of the software. This should reslove the problem by re-registering the computer again, all your settings will be saved and will be available again as soon as you have finished the installation and registration of the computer.


Why do I get taken to the Brightfilter site when I sign in?

If you use the "Sign in" shortcut, or the link from the system tray icon, we do not know where you would like to go to next. So we have provided a page where you can search the web.

 

If you sign in after seeing a block page however we know where you want to go and if the profile you sign into allows you to go there, you will go straight through.
